When the Zombies started talking, i thought there might be some fresh ideas incoming. But, no. Just a group of living A-holes that wore Zombiesuits, like the Serialkiller from silence of the lambs. Another group of survivors worse than the Zombies themselves. Maybe? I dunno, because after that reveal, i dropped the show faster than a bar of red tungsten.

I enjoyed it more then the boys because it was so good, but also less because I was like gigasad after watching the show... I hope the show will get a season 2 or a satisfying ending

Still mad about it but after some time to settle I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s kind of “real” in that people like Ted aren’t gonna throw away that “love connection” he had with someone. It feels disingenuous in show but is real if you think about it. Even Robins reaction just shows a happy sense of “okay, time to go through this again”

I don't know, I always resented The Secret Circle because I felt that they should've made a Bennett (and other TVD-verse witches) spin-off so it could've been somewhat connected to TVD but exist on its own like The Originals, led by a family of super powerful, matrilineal Black witches. But I do hope someone does that or goes with your idea.

My cousin lives for these books these books taught that child who they were and helped them get through the hardest part of their lives. It makes me sick that Disney messed up this bad.

Dr Sleep trailer looks like it was made for TV. The Ewan-in-bed scene kinda had a TV color look. Rebecca Ferguson was amazing a believable eternal demon creature tho. Kubo, amazing as it is, looks a direct-to-dvd movie. The Northman had a Valhalla Rising vibe to it, not a blockbuster type but a cult-fan movie. The Fall Guy trailer looked like it's a streaming movie. The rest in the list however looks like a blockbuster-type movie. I think trailers do a great deal to movie theatre success. Trailers should look like it is gonna be a theatre-viewing affair. Just an observation

I'm forever salty that most of my favorite shows end up getting cancelled on cliffhangers. Son of Zorn, Suburgatory, Pushing Daisies, the Scream TV series (I hate what they did to season 3), Spinning Out, The Tomorrow People, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, just to name a few. It's honestly one of the main reasons I've stopped watching shows unless I know it's a solo season or it's confirmed to get more. And even then, I'll wait until at least two or three seasons are out before I start watching.

I don't want to know what this says about me, but I lasted until season 9 episode 15 The Calm Before. When I saw all those head on the border, I was DONE done. I shut this show so far away in my head that I didn't know it ended until just now.

The only thing that got me through the show was Grant Gustins ability to preform well with trash scripts

I'm maybe the only one that somewhat liked it 😅 To me the show took a nosedive from 2 or 3 seasons prior (I forget exactly), so I wasn't as attached at the end. But yeah, I prefer Ted being ending with Robin haha.

They could have cut the rape scene entirely while keeping everything else. Have Daphne find out he’s been trying to deliberately not get her pregnant and have her confront him about it. The conflict would have worked, and if they were going for Simon is the bad guy in this situation, that avenue would have worked better anyway.

I gave up before they smoked Carl. It had become a boring uninteresting slog. The first half of the show- til they get to Alexandria- was worth watching on streaming. Alexandria is where it died for me.

The second i saw they raceswapped some of the main cast that told me all i needed to know in that they werent gonna do the books justice

Also it's people with money who had daughters whose only job was to get married. Several YTbers remind us that Bridgerton only shows a specific class of society. Oh and don't get me started on the corset controversy this show has. Like ugh, firstly in the early 1800s women didn't wear the corset they depict and they didn't tighten them like they show (nor did they wear corsets against the skin). Like dude how do you wash your sweat of that? Historically, they wore chemise under it so absorb sweat and not dirty the corset or outer clothes as quickly. Also coresets or stays were essentially a bra. They didn't crack your ribs or do internal damage unless you, the idiot, laced it way too tight. I would love a show to actually mention why the "marriage mart" was important. Bridgerton doesn't have a weight to Daphne's season (other than finding love). Many didn't have this luxury and married for political alliances or just money. Also as the wealthy elite came to London for not only marriages but first and foremost, the need for noble lords to sit in Parliament while it was in session from October to May.

The worst part was Barney's character development being thrown away in minutes. He was back to being a j*erk right after the divorce, and then the only reason he became a decent human being was because of his daughter. It didn't make any sense. All those seasons showing him slowly becoming a more humble, caring and mature person were for nothing.

In the books the original liars were not friends.... Do yo like not acknowledge the books at all? Are you not aware that they exist? Do you think Marlene came up with all of it? It's more like she read the Goodreads summary of the books and decided she was smarter than Sara Shepard.

I am one of the few who actually felt the ending made sense and I will try to explain it. As the kids point out at the end, the entire story was truly centered around his relationship with Robin. Literally episode one is “Hey Barney, you see that girl over there? One day I’m going to marry her”. The first episode ends with “and that is how I met your… aunt Robin”. He goes through all the highs an lows of his relationship with Robin and even Barney(who Robin married). The story was largely still their relationship, just like how Friends was largely Ross and Rachel’s relationship. But as you said it is a story about life. Ted basically got to have his perfect life. If he were to have been with Robin the whole time, he would have need to make concessions. They largely met each other at the wrong point in their respective lives. You have the saying “sometimes you meet the right person at the wrong time. Sometimes you meet the wrong person at the right time. But when you find the right person at the right time… it’s because you are meant to be together”. Robin was 25-35 y/o Ted’s right person wrong time. Tracy was Ted’s right person right time. Tracy gave Ted everything he wanted on a personal level. At that point Ted was fulfilled and it was sort of the same with Robin as at the time she was largely career focused and achieved what she wanted from that career. As a result, 25-ish years after their original meeting, Ted and Robin became each other’s right time/right person. She says in the final season when Ted (finally) lets her go something along the lines of “I don’t want to view you as ‘the one that got away’. A part of me thinks I should be marrying you.” Robin knows her and Ted are also meant to be together, it again is just the wrong time, and she could not give him personal fulfillment(I.e. children) that he desires.

Emily being ignorant and dressing in outrageous outfits is the main point of the show. She is made to portray the "dumb american" stereotype. And the french are made to be overly stereotypical too. It is a comedy show after all, it is not made to be authentic.

I am disappointed, just finished it. So much plot armor and unrealistic. How can they leave so much bombs left without supervision in open tents. There is again no action with mass dead and a army.

This makes me wonder what Shohreh playing Smaug would have sounded like. Maybe better than Benedict...? Heh.

the night of the hunter is so harrowing and dramatic like, the cinematography is SPECTACULAR - it is haunting (think german expressionist vibes) I’ve watched it rather recently and still catch myself thinking about it. The story GRIPPED ME by the fucking neck from beginning to end (it’s such a ride)

A Netflix movie is a contradiction in terms; Netflix is for tv. That's why every "movie" looks like the opposite of cinematic. Also, using 'current day" girlboss tropes in a story set in literal medieval times is so dumb, yet tediously predictable.
